Protect
what
Matters

We’re agile, responsive and highly specialised, experts not just in legal covenants but also in land restoration, rewilding and biodiversity creation.

We work with landowners, developers and institutions to establish and manage conservation covenants that meet Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements.

We work with landowners, developers and institutions to establish and manage conservation covenants that meet Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements.

We believe the process should be straightforward and collaborative, from first steps to three decades down the line.

Manage conservation

We understand the lay of the land

Think of OnNature as your pro-active, professional guide through the conservation process. You can move forward with confidence, knowing your BNG obligations are handled by experts who understand both the regulatory landscape and commercial realities of land use.

We’re approved by Defra to help landowners legally protect and manage their land for the benefit of nature, now and in the future.

Our role is to support landowners in achieving long-term environmental goals, whether that’s nature restoration, improving biodiversity, or making land more resilient to climate change.

Ariel view of conservation

As the covenant body, we’ll work with you to create a legally binding agreement, called a conservation covenant, that stays with the land, even if it changes hands.

It’s our job to:

  • Guide you through the process of setting up a conservation covenant
  • Make sure that a land covenant is right for you
  • Guarantee the agreement is fair, clear, and tailored to your land and goals
  • Monitor the land over time to ensure the agreed outcomes are being delivered
  • Support you with advice on land management and delivery of your scheme
